Welcome to a new way of communicating...
Behavioural Science for Game-Changing Conversations is a science-based communication Training Program for those working in sustainability and public good.
This professional 6-week training program uses the see.think.grow.Method, a behavioural science approach that combines best practice from multiple disciplines into a simple framework to improve delivery and uptake of environmental and public-interest messages and campaigns.
It shows you how to work with human nature and real-time constraints — not against them.
If you communicate about climate, sustainability, or the public good, this program helps you learn how to create, deliver and nurture messages that audiences can hear, consider and adopt.
This is not about scripts, persuasion techniques, or “magic tricks”.
You won’t be taught how to push people toward predetermined conclusions.
Instead, we explore how communication changes when it is grounded in:
• behavioural science
• identity and values
• emotional processing
• social context
• cultural ecosystems
Communication is less about convincing — and more about creating conditions where people feel safe to see, think and grow.
This 6-week training program brings together more than two decades of work across:
• international aid
• public engagement initiatives
• health and wellbeing programs
• environmental communication
Combining proven techniques from the fields of education, psychology, behavioural sciences, cross-cultural communication, creative writing and graphic design and underpinned by findings from neuroscience... into one simple framework.
The goal is to: Help important messages land in ways that respect human autonomy.
Messages don’t land in a vacuum.
They land inside a human ecosphere shaped by identity, values, emotion, and social context.
And unless communication is grounded in that ecosphere, even the best message struggles to grow.
This is why more facts don’t usually persuade... and more urgency often increases resistance, or worse still — disengagement.
Well-intentioned campaigns often 'fail' to shift behaviour not because people don’t care... but because:
We haven't aligned our messages and campaigns with how human beings actually process information and change.
If you’ve been asking:
Why is what I'm doing not working?
Why aren't people acting on the evidence?
Why aren't they changing?
How can I get people to not only agree, but follow through?
— you’re not alone!
It all began in Grade 2 with a question that never went away.
In Grade 2, I committed myself to our school's “Kick the Can” program... and from then on, doing what I could to save our planet.
Committed, I just couldn't understand why others weren’t equally invested, equally worried about the future — equally committed to changing their behaviour to save our planet — didn't they care?
Years later, through university and into international aid -
I saw the same pattern emerge:
Thoughtful, capable people… educated, knowledgable people... still doing things they knew 'better than'.
I had been trained in what should “work” to build capacity and change behaviour, but in practice, much of it didn’t hold.
So I stepped back and started asking different questions.
Why doesn’t this land?
What’s really shaping people’s decisions and behaviour?
What might we be overlooking?
Over the past 20+ years across social, environmental, and community contexts, I’ve studied communication, behavioural and environmental sciences, biology and neuroscience, while continually testing ideas in real-world settings.
And a consistent insight has emerged:
It's not that people don’t care!
It’s that our approaches typically don’t reflect or address the realities people are living within OR how they and the systems surrounding them operate.
The see.think.grow.Method grew from this 20 year journey into a grounded, practical way to work with human behaviour as it is — using what science and real-world practice reveals about how humans think, feel and behave.
This 6-week program is where I show you how to stop wasting precious resources on approaches that won't work, and instead effectively engage people in ways that reduce resistance, and turn awareness into action... to grow positive change for our communities and planet!
see
Understand the ecosphere your audience lives within.
think
Choose messages and methods most likely to take root.
grow
Create conditions that allow change to emerge naturally.
Because communication and campaigns aren't about forcing outcomes...
...they're about working with and respecting human ecospheres!

In just 6 weeks, learn how to apply behavioural science to everyday communication, behaviour-change campaigns and community engagement activities:
• frame messages so they invite reflection rather than defensive debate
• engage audiences who feel sceptical, fatigued, or overwhelmed
• make small shifts in timing, tone, and framing to influence whether a message is dismissed or genuinely considered
• analyse and work within the human ecosystem surrounding a policy, campaign, or conversation.
These are not scripts.
These are ways of seeing and delivering communication more clearly.
And once you start, you begin noticing opportunities everywhere.
What's included?
Lifetime access to the full suite of program training resources (all the videos, tools, templates, checklists and cheatsheets we cover in the 5 Program Modules).
Weekly group coaching sessions for six weeks where we dive deeper into real-life applications and participant Q&As so you learn not only from me but others too.
Access to a community of practitioners who 'understand what you're doing and why'... so you always have an informed sounding board.
PLUS FOUNDING MEMBER BONUSES
2 one-on-one see.think.grow mentoring sessions with me to work on your current project.

Behavioural Science for Game-Changing Conversations was created for people working in:
NB: This may not be for you if you're looking for guaranteed persuasion techniques, believe more information alone should change behaviour, or want quick communication tactics without understanding the deeper human context. This program asks for curiosity, reflection and a willingness to change first.

• public engagement campaigns
• climate and sustainability messaging
• community consultations
• policy communication
• organisational storytelling
• stakeholder conversations
I work with participants and organisations to identify and understand the human ecosystems surrounding their target audiences — and purposefully select methods and messages that help create the conditions required for meaningful change.
